Biography

Gunner Akhilesh Kumar Patel served in the Regiment of Artillery of the Indian Army, the branch responsible for providing firepower support to ground forces. As a Gunner, he was trained in the operation and handling of artillery guns and equipment, a role demanding precision, discipline and physical endurance. He answered the call to serve the nation and wore the uniform with pride, dedicating himself to the duties entrusted to him. Through his service, Gunner Akhilesh Kumar Patel upheld the traditions of courage and commitment that define the Indian Army. Like countless soldiers who guard the nation across difficult terrain and challenging conditions, he carried out his responsibilities with devotion, placing duty above self. Gunner Akhilesh Kumar Patel laid down his life in the service of the nation on 6 November 2019.
