Biography

Captain Shreyansh Kashyap was born on 13th March 1997 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his schooling in Meerut and was commissioned into the Bombay Sappers on 8th June 2019, joining 108 Engineer Regiment. He was deployed as ETF Commander at Yongdi, North Sikkim under 27 Mountain Division, monitoring the border at an altitude of 15,000 feet. On 28th May 2021, while serving in the extreme high-altitude conditions of North Sikkim, Captain Kashyap suffered Acute Myocardial Infarction and was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved. He was just 24 years old. Captain Shreyansh Kashyap made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, serving the nation at one of its most challenging frontiers.
