Biography
Sunil Kumar served as a Junior Commissioned Officer (Naib Subedar) in the Indian Army. On 16 February 2026, he was stationed at a forward camp in the Nyoma area of southern Ladakh, about 150 km from Leh, when a water tank at the camp burst. He made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The Chief of the Army Staff and all ranks of the Indian Army paid tribute to his service.
