Biography
Wing Commander Prashant Joshi was a capable and dedicated officer of the Indian Air Force who served with No. 77 Squadron. He was among a crew of highly skilled aviators committed to the service of the nation. On 28 March 2014, while flying a C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft, the plane met with a tragic accident near Gwalior. Along with Wing Commander Raji Nair, Squadron Leader Kaushik Mishra, Squadron Leader Ashish Yadav and Warrant Officer Krishna Pal Singh, Wing Commander Joshi made the supreme sacrifice for the country. Known for his exceptional courage and indomitable spirit, he devoted his life to the defence of India. A committed soldier and a professional airman, he will forever be remembered by a grateful nation for his dedication and his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
