Biography
Sepoy Mukhtiar Bakshi served in the Dogra Regiment of the Indian Army. He hailed from village Bahi, Tehsil Baijnath, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. During the Indo-Pak War of 1971, Sepoy Mukhtiar Bakshi made the supreme sacrifice on 7 December 1971, laying down his life in service of the nation. One among countless unsung heroes of the 1971 war, his sacrifice remains a source of immense pride for his village and the people of Himachal Pradesh.
