Biography
Hare Ram Kunwar, aged 38, belonged to Mahuli Ghat in Bhojpur district of Bihar. He served the Indian Army with distinction and was on operational movement in Jammu & Kashmir when tragedy struck. On 22 January 2026, the armoured Casspir vehicle carrying troops for an anti-terror operation lost control on the frost-covered Bhaderwah–Chamba road at the 9,000-foot Khanni Top and plunged into a 200-foot deep gorge. He was among ten soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the accident. His last rites were performed with full state honours at Mahuli Ghat in Bhojpur.
