Biography
Captain Kevin Kumar served in the Indian Army with 9 Para (SF), the elite Special Forces battalion of The Parachute Regiment. He made the supreme sacrifice while fighting terrorists in Kashmir on 29th July 2002. Captain Kevin Kumar had completed just four years of service and was only 27 years old when he laid down his life in the line of duty. Remembered as a beloved son and brother, his courage, dedication and sacrifice continue to inspire those who learn about his life and service. His memory has also been preserved through a bust installed in a children's park in Anandnagar, Bengaluru, serving as a lasting tribute to the young officer who gave his life in service of the nation.
