Biography
Sepoy Thirupathi served with 2 Madras of the Indian Army during Operation Pawan in Sri Lanka. On 30th July 1989, Sepoy Thirupathi made the supreme sacrifice while fighting the LTTE in Sri Lanka. For his courage and sacrifice in the line of duty, Sepoy Thirupathi was awarded the Sena Medal posthumously. His service and supreme sacrifice remain an enduring part of the legacy of 2 Madras and the Indian Army.
