Biography

Sepoy Hawa Singh Rozadia was born on February 17, 1978, in Basmana village, Udaipurwati Tehsil, Jhunjhunu District, Rajasthan, to Shri Phoolchand Rozadia and Smt Rukma Devi. He was married to Smt Manoj Devi. He enlisted in the Indian Army on October 28, 1995, joining 17 Jat Battalion, The Jat Regiment. Recognized as an exceptional marksman, particularly with a pistol, Sepoy Hawa Singh was martyred on July 7, 1999, at the age of 21, during Operation Vijay (Kargil War). He fought with admirable courage during the assault on Point 4875 (Pimple II), alongside his comrades, eliminating four Pakistani bunkers before succumbing to enemy fire. His supreme sacrifice for the nation will forever be remembered.
