Biography
Sepoy Man Singh served in 11 Jat of the Jat Regiment. On 13th March 1986, during Operation Meghdoot at the Siachen Glacier, he was part of a patrol led by Nb Sub Nafe Singh along the Saltoro Ridge. The patrol was struck by a devastating avalanche triggered by enemy shelling. Despite a large-scale rescue operation, Sepoy Man Singh and seven of his comrades could not be saved. He made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty at one of the world's highest battlefields.
