Biography
Mohit Chauhan belonged to Jhajjar district in Haryana and served as a Sowar in the Armoured Corps of the Indian Army. On 22 January 2026, he was among the troops travelling in an armoured Casspir vehicle for an anti-terror operation in Jammu & Kashmir's Doda district when the vehicle skidded off the frost-covered road at Khanni Top and plunged into a 200-foot deep gorge. He made the supreme sacrifice. His mortal remains were brought home to Jhajjar where his last rites were performed with full military honours.
