Biography
Mithun Mandal served as a Constable in the Border Security Force (BSF). In January 2026, he was deployed on patrolling duty in Manipur's Ukhrul district when he came under hostile fire and was fatally shot while on patrol. A coordinated combing operation was subsequently launched by the Manipur Police, BSF, CRPF and the Indian Army in the area.
