Biography
Paratrooper Karamjeet Singh belonged to the Rupnagar (Ropar) district of Punjab. He enlisted in the Indian Army in 2016 and earned his place among the elite airborne soldiers of the Parachute Regiment, serving as a frontline para commando. On 7 June 2019, while returning from a patrol carried out on the basis of intelligence inputs, Paratrooper Karamjeet Singh met with a fatal accident and made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. He is remembered with deep respect for his courage and exemplary devotion to duty.
