Biography
Sepoy Elaverson B of the 51 Rashtriya Rifles hailed from Kannanthangudi in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur district. Deployed in the high-altitude Gurez sector of North Kashmir, he was on duty when a massive avalanche struck the Army post at Neeru village in the Tulail area on the night of 25 January 2017. He was among the soldiers who lost their lives in the disaster, laying down his life in the service of the nation.
