Biography

Company Havildar Major Piru Singh Shekhawat was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his exceptional courage and sacrifice in the face of the enemy during the 1948 Indo-Pakistani War. He single-handedly charged enemy positions, clearing them before making the ultimate sacrifice.
