Biography
Sepoy Ram Pratap served in 11 Jat of the Jat Regiment. On 13th March 1986, during Operation Meghdoot at the Siachen Glacier, he was part of a patrol led by Nb Sub Nafe Singh along the Saltoro Ridge. Enemy shelling triggered a devastating avalanche that buried the entire team under thick snow. Despite a large-scale rescue operation, Sepoy Ram Pratap and seven of his comrades could not be saved. He made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
